During the Corn Congress meeting in Washington, D.C., the National Corn Growers Association recognized Senator Amy Klobuchar with its President’s Award. This is one of the organization’s highest honors. It is given each year to a recipient chosen by the National Corn Growers Association’s board president, Harold Wolle.

The award recognizes the time Klobuchar spent in the Senate pushing for legislation important to corn growers and farmers. She has been a proponent of legislation allowing customers greater access to higher ethanol blends. She has also advocated for eliminating trade barriers that negatively impact farmers and is working to pass a farm bill that reflects corn grower priorities.

Three National Corn Growers Association members were also awarded the Corn Advocate of the Year Award. Recipients included Tim Thompson of Illinois, Patrick Seyer of Missouri and Brett Grauerholz of Kansas.
