Wildfires in Texas have officially scourged one million acres. Farmers and ranchers throughout the Panhandle are needing donations to assist in recovery efforts. Fire damage has hit many communities in the area as the largest fire in Texas history raced through the state.

The fire has caused one death and countless damage as producers try to locate and tend to lost and injured cattle as well as contend with the loss of feed and valuable hay supplies that were burned. Some cattle are being transported for up to 90 days until forage land greens up in the spring. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service says donations of feed, hay, fencing supplies, cow feed and milk replacer are in critical need to support livestock owners impacted by wildfires.
