Certified Angus Beef (CAB) achieved its second-best sales year in 2024. There were 1.237 billion pounds sold globally, including in the U.S. and 55 other countries.

Despite a 1.6% decline in fed cattle supply, a record 5.96 million carcasses were certified. Of these, 37.4% of Angus cattle met CAB’s highest standards. CAB Prime saw record growth of 730,000 carcasses. Producers earned nearly $100 per head in grid premiums for cattle, meeting the brand’s standards.

Domestic and international demand remained strong. There were 521.5 million pounds sold at retail and 415 million pounds through food service.

International sales grew by 4.6%. There was strong growth in Mexico, CAB’s second-largest market. CAB Prime sales also surged by 22.5%
