Ethanol plantEthanol production hit a record high for the week ending November 8. The Energy Information Administration reported it averaged 1.113 million barrels per day.

This surpassed the previous week’s 1.105 million barrels and marked the highest output since records began in 2010. The Midwest, the largest ethanol-producing region, saw production rise to 1.05 million barrels per day. This is the region’s highest level since October 2021.

Gulf Coast production increased to 28,000 barrels per day from 26,000. Output in the Rocky Mountain and West Coast regions remained steady at 15,000 and 10,000 barrels per day, respectively.

Ethanol inventories also grew slightly, totaling 22.039 million barrels compared to 22.02 million barrels the previous week. This steady rise in production and inventory highlights ongoing strong activity in the ethanol sector.
