The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released its February 2024 baselines for farm programs and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). In total, $1.46 trillion is slated for use over a 10-year window from 2025 to 2034. This amount is down 3.9% or $59 billion from CBO’s May 2023 baseline.

The CBO will release a new spring baseline following the release of the President’s fiscal year 2025 budget request. The office may adjust the baseline at the direction of the budget committees.
