U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Monday that USDA will invest $207 million in renewable energy and domestic fertilizer projects. Vilsack says the goal is to lower energy bills, generate new income, create jobs and enhance competition in U.S. agriculture. The Inflation Reduction Act largely funds the effort.
