Jim Mintert of the Purdue Center for Commercial Agriculture says the Current Conditions Index rose significantly from this time last year. He cites strong yields as a driver of that shift and overall improved farm financial situations.

Meanwhile, the Index of Future Expectations only improved marginally, possibly due to ongoing high input costs. High production costs continue to be the biggest concern producers are sharing in each monthly survey.
