Snow storm in rural AmericaThanksgiving travelers in the U.S. Rockies region may get less-than-ideal road conditions. A storm system has kicked off this week and moved from the Plains on Sunday into the Great Lakes region yesterday. Moderate to heavy rain came with it while a wintry mix of precipitation is expected to occur in parts of Michigan.

The Northeast will also stay on the cooler side, with the potential for snow and freezing rain over the holiday. An additional cold front will slip into the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest later in the week, bringing some seasonably low temperatures with it.
