Are you hosting an Independence Day cookout this holiday? A recent market report says families can expect to pay $67.73 on a cookout for 10. The bill has decreased 3% from last year’s holiday. Even so, the price is still 14% higher than two years ago, with 2023 coming in as the second-highest price over the last ten years. Which cookout items have inflated the most? The cost of hamburger buns has increased by 17% from last year.

Not only putting a furrow in consumer brows, but high prices also impact farmers and ranchers. Farmers receive just 14% of every food dollar, but fuel, fertilizer and other input costs have increased notably, as well.
