U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced a $50 million investment last week to help expand access to healthy school meal programs. Vilsack says the USDA funds will increase collaboration between schools, food producers and suppliers. Additionally, the agency is investing $10 million in schools to expand nutrition education.
