If you have acres that need to be replanted, take advantage of the 2020 crop year changes in self-certification replants. With this unique type of replant, an adjuster doesn’t have to show up to the farm and the claim is resolved even faster and provides a great solution for social distancing. For the 2020 crop year, you may self-certify up to 100 acres per unit to be replanted in lieu of the current 50-acre limitation. Additionally, if an enterprise unit structure or basic unit structure was selected, you may self-certify up to 100 acres on each of the underlying unit databases that qualify for separate optional units, that comprise the enterprise or basic unit.

NOTE: Before replanting, contact your trusted ProAg agent or assigned ProAg claims representative. No replanting is allowed until consent to replant is granted from ProAg. This includes regular replants as well as those that qualify for self-certification.

Crops which are authorized for self-certification replant per paragraph 722 B. (1) of the LAM:

  • Barley and wheat not covered by the winter coverage endorsement (both initially planted winter and spring crops)
  • Buckwheat
  • Canola
  • Corn
  • Dry beans
  • Flax (spring-seeded only)
  • Grain sorghum
  • Mustard
  • Oats (spring-seeded only)
  • Popcorn (including popcorn revenue)
  • Peanuts
  • Rapeseed
  • Safflowers
  • Soybeans
  • Sugar beets
  • Sunflower seed

To submit the notice of loss online, sign into the myProAg portal at my.proag.com. When entering the notice of loss, please indicate the claim may qualify for the self-certified replant.

All other replanting requirement remain unchanged for 2020. Refer to Manager’s Bulletin MGR-20-008 for additional details regarding this important crop insurance change.
